Data Collection Policy
Effective Date: July 28th, 2026
Website: https://www.loanglass.com
LoanGlass collects, organizes, normalizes, and publishes publicly available mortgage rate and loan-term information to help consumers and mortgage professionals better understand and compare mortgage pricing.
LoanGlass believes that transparent mortgage pricing benefits consumers and the mortgage industry by making publicly available rate information easier to discover, compare, and understand. Our goal is to improve transparency by organizing publicly available mortgage pricing information into a standardized, searchable, and educational resource.
This Data Collection Policy explains what information we collect, how we collect and use it, and how lenders and other interested parties can contact us regarding information displayed on our website.
1. Information We Collect
LoanGlass collects factual mortgage pricing and loan-term information that lenders and other mortgage-market participants make publicly available on websites and other publicly accessible online sources.
Depending on what a source publishes, the information we collect may include:
- Mortgage interest rates and annual percentage rates (“APRs”)
- Discount points, lender credits, fees, and other disclosed pricing terms
- Loan type and program, such as conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, jumbo, adjustable-rate, home-equity, or other mortgage products
- Loan term and rate structure
- Purchase, refinance, cash-out, or other transaction type
- Property type, occupancy, location, loan amount, down payment, loan-to-value ratio, credit-score assumptions, and other eligibility or pricing criteria
- Rate-lock periods and other conditions associated with an advertised rate
- The lender or mortgage provider associated with the information
- The date on which LoanGlass observed or collected the information
LoanGlass generally does not reproduce complete webpages, webpage designs, photographs, or substantial portions of marketing or editorial content. We extract and store factual pricing information and related terms necessary to identify, organize, normalize, compare, and explain mortgage offers.
We may display lender names, logos, and other identifying marks to identify the lender associated with particular rates, products, statistics, profiles, or other information.
2. Publicly Available Sources
LoanGlass collects information from publicly accessible websites and online sources. Our data-collection processes do not require access to private customer accounts, password-protected lender systems, or confidential consumer information.
LoanGlass does not collect personal information about a lender’s customers or website visitors through its mortgage-rate collection activities.
3. Automated and Manual Collection
LoanGlass may collect publicly available mortgage information through automated software processes, manual review, or a combination of both.
Our automated processes generally access a source only a limited number of times per day. We seek to operate our collection systems responsibly and avoid placing an unreasonable burden on source websites.
Our systems may perform ordinary browser interactions needed to view publicly displayed information, such as selecting loan criteria, navigating between publicly accessible pages, accepting or closing notices, or closing promotional windows.
LoanGlass does not bypass CAPTCHAs, authentication requirements, paywalls, or other access controls in order to collect mortgage-rate information.
4. Normalization and Presentation
Mortgage lenders frequently describe similar products and pricing assumptions in different ways. LoanGlass may standardize, categorize, calculate, or normalize publicly available information so users can search, analyze, and compare mortgage offers using consistent terminology and criteria.
Normalization may include:
- Mapping lender terminology to standardized mortgage-product categories
- Organizing rates according to loan type, term, transaction type, and borrower or property assumptions
- Converting information into a consistent data structure
- Associating lenders with publicly available regulatory or business identifiers
- Calculating comparisons, distributions, rankings, averages, trends, or other statistics based on the collected information
Normalized information presented by LoanGlass may therefore differ in format from the way the information originally appeared on the source website.
5. Attribution and Links
LoanGlass identifies the lender or mortgage provider associated with each rate or offer whenever reasonably possible.
We may display a lender’s name, logo, or other identifying information to help users identify the lender associated with particular mortgage products, rates, statistics, profiles, or other information.
All lender names, logos, trademarks, service marks, and other brand identifiers remain the property of their respective owners.
We may also provide a link to the lender’s website so users can obtain additional information or contact the lender directly. A link may lead to the lender’s main website, mortgage section, rate page, or another relevant page and may not always lead to the exact page from which particular information was collected.
The appearance of a lender’s name, logo, or link does not imply that the lender sponsors, endorses, approves, verifies, or is affiliated with LoanGlass unless expressly stated.
LoanGlass is independently operated and is not acting as an agent or representative of a lender merely because that lender appears on the website.
6. Dates, Rate Changes, and Availability
LoanGlass displays the date on which a rate was observed or collected. Mortgage rates and loan terms may change at any time, including during the same day.
Information displayed by LoanGlass may therefore no longer match the pricing currently available from the lender.
Rates may also depend on borrower qualifications, property characteristics, loan size, geographic location, rate-lock period, market conditions, and other requirements or assumptions.
Users should verify all rates, fees, eligibility requirements, and loan terms directly with the lender before making a financial decision or submitting a loan application.
7. Accuracy and Corrections
LoanGlass seeks to present mortgage information accurately, but source information may be incomplete, ambiguous, outdated, changed after collection, or presented using assumptions that are difficult to identify or interpret.
A lender or other interested party may notify us of information that it believes is inaccurate, incomplete, improperly attributed, or materially outdated.
Requests should identify:
- The lender or mortgage provider involved
- The LoanGlass page or information at issue
- The specific information believed to be incorrect
- The reason the information is believed to be incorrect
- A link to or copy of the relevant source information, when available
- Contact information for an appropriate representative
LoanGlass will review substantiated correction requests in good faith and may correct, update, clarify, or remove information when appropriate.
We may contact the requesting party for additional information or independently review publicly available sources before making a change.
Correction requests may be submitted to content@loanglass.com.
8. Questions and Collection Concerns
Lenders and website operators may contact LoanGlass with reasonable questions or concerns regarding our data-collection activities.
We will review such communications in light of the information involved, the public interest in accurate mortgage-market information, the operation of the relevant website, and applicable legal and technical considerations.
Submitting a request does not guarantee that publicly available factual information will be removed or that LoanGlass will discontinue collecting or publishing that information.
Questions or concerns may be submitted to contact@loanglass.com.
9. Independent Information Service
LoanGlass is an independent mortgage information, research, and comparison service.
LoanGlass is not a mortgage lender, mortgage broker, loan originator, or credit provider. LoanGlass is not registered with the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System and Registry (“NMLS”) and does not originate, arrange, approve, or provide mortgage loans.
Information provided by LoanGlass is for general informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute a loan offer, rate lock, commitment to lend, financial advice, legal advice, or a guarantee that any user will qualify for a particular mortgage product or rate.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Data Collection Policy periodically to reflect changes in our services, technology, collection practices, or legal obligations.
Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Effective Date.”

The mortgage rates displayed on this site are collected daily from publicly available sources provided by more than 800 lenders. LoanGlass does not receive compensation for listing these rates, and all rates are presented as published by the respective lenders. While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, the information may contain errors or omissions. Mortgage rates are highly dependent on an individual’s financial circumstances, credit profile, loan terms, and other factors. As such, the rates you are quoted directly by a lender may differ materially from the rates displayed here.
Users should contact lenders directly to obtain formal, binding loan offers. If you identify any discrepancies in the data or would like to have your institution’s rates included, please contact us at content@loanglass.com.
